Modern elements of form and function are demonstrated with this Arne Jacobsen design known as the Egg Chair. Formally introduced as a signature Jacobsen design for the Royal Hotel, Copenhagen completed in 1961. Combining a modernist design concept with the 18th century traditional wing back chair design, a refreshed modern idea may be realized. The swivel base allows the user to turn towards or away from a communal lounge setting affording some privacy in lounging. The Egg Chair has recently gained popularity as an inviting home decor design addition. We also have a matching ottoman available.
