Specializing in iconic Mid-Century Modern furniture since 1998, we have dedicated ourselves to crafting timeless modern classics inspired by the influential design movements of Bauhaus Modern (1917–1933), L'Esprit Nouveau Modern (1920–1940), and Mid-Century Modern (1940–1960). Through modern engineering, premium materials, and our own refined design perspective, we thoughtfully enhance these enduring furniture icons while remaining true to their original spirit.

Each of our furniture pieces is handcrafted using high-end materials such as #304 stainless steel, top-grain leather sourced from Italian tanneries, and our exclusive USA-made performance fabrics. Every item is carefully inspected in Bellingham, Washington, to ensure it meets our exacting standards for quality, comfort, and long-term durability.

Originally, most modern furniture designs were constructed using the best materials available at the time - including natural horsehair padding, early foam formulations, toxic fiberglass and chrome plating, and unfinished aniline leathers. While innovative in their time, modern advancements now allow for greater comfort, more environmentally friendly, and lasting durability. Here at Modern Classics, we integrate improved materials, updated construction techniques, and subtle structural refinements to create furniture that honors the originals while improving comfort, durability, and performance for modern living.
