Borge Mogensen (1914-1972) Danish designer Borge Mogensen began his education at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen from 1936 to 1938, and then continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts until 1941. For a few years he was an assistant to Kaare Klint, the well known professor at the Academy who laid the groundwork for a generation of designers. In 1950, he opened his own design firm where he designed furniture for Soborg Mobelfabrik, Fredericia Furniture and Karl Andersson & Sons.
