The Corbusier LC4 chaise lounge, designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand in 1928, is a seminal piece of modern furniture that embodies the principles of functionalism and aesthetics in design. Known for its sleek, ergonomic form and innovative use of materials, the LC4 was intended to provide optimal comfort and relaxation, reflecting the modernist movement's emphasis on simplicity and utility. The LC4 continues to be celebrated for its timeless design and remains a staple in contemporary interiors.

Our version of the LC4 features stainless steel tubing and a solid black frame underneath. The top frame can be adjusted to many positions and the cushion is supported with flexible nylon webbing. We offer our version in both leather and "pony" cowhide. If you would like to order with one of our pony hide choices, please use this link for Corbusier Style: Chaise Lounge in Pony Hide

Below are the leather colors we offer for this product. Our Standard Leathers (denoted with the prefix L1) are top-grain, aniline-dyed, and then color corrected with a slight embossing to create a more uniform grain pattern. Our Premium leathers (denoted with the prefix L2) are also top-grain, aniline-dyed but have a soft feel to them and much of the hides natural grain patterns are retained.

All of our leathers are considered equally durable and are ideal for home or commercial use. To read more about leather, read our A Guide to Understanding Upholstery Leather: A Primer.

Features of our leather include:
  • Top-grain Italian leather from Grade A hides
  • Corrected aniline-dyed (standard) and semi-aniline dyed (premium)
  • Made at Italian tanneries and sent to our factory
  • Have a UV and Moisture Guard built into the non-toxic vegetable dyes
  • Are not split hides or bonded leather
We are happy to mail you a physical piece of leather so you can hold it in your hands.
